What We Believe

Vision Statement:

The establishment of TBWC, Inc. is further intended to aid in the public welfare by:

  • Ministering the integrity and simplicity of God's Word to members and receptive congregates;
  • Developing spiritual, economical and social growth in families and single members;
  • Investing in the power of prayer for all people;
  • Evangelizing to the local communities by preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ leading others to salvation; and
  • Empowering Christians to know the will of God for His people.

Primarily, the organization's purpose is to reform the lives of the people by setting a standard through preaching, teaching, and demonstrating the true gifts and power of God. By setting this standard, God's people will operate in the gifts of the Spirit and the surrounding communities will prosper as a result of this.

TBWC Inc. is also committed to teaching and developing its members to operate in the fruit of the Spirit that we may win and cultivate workers for the Lord. Thus, the scriptures declare us to “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify God who is in Heaven.” Matthew 5:16.

 *This includes such purposes as the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law)

Statement of Faith:

According to 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 there are: (a) diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit (the Holy Spirit); (b) difference of ministries, but the same Lord (Jesus Christ); and (c) diversities of activities, but the same God who works all in all (God is responsible for all of the power for these functions). We believe that He is the sovereign creator and sustainer of the universe, and that final judgment for eternity is of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God manifested in the flesh. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and lived the only perfect life without sin. We believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of all men, was buried, bodily resurrected on the third day, and now sits on the right hand of God as the scriptures declare. We believe that according to John 14:16-18 the Holy Spirit is the promise that Jesus said the Father (God) would send to be a comforter, a helper, to lead and guide us in all truth, and to live inside every born again Christian. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross as the Savior of the world and that salvation came through Him for the remission of sins. We believe and understand that by faith we believe in God, even though we cannot see Him, we believe He exists. Hebrews 11:6 states, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

  • We believe according to John 3:3 that you must be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
  • We believe according to Acts 2:21 that if anyone calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, they will be saved.
  • According to 1 Corinthians 15:5-58 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, we believe in the rapture of the saints. Jesus is coming back for the church (the body of Christ).
  • According to Revelation 20:11-15, we believe in God's eternal judgment for heaven and hell.

 The Culture of TBWC:

The Believers Worship Center, Inc. will always present the quality of enlightenment, intellectual pursuits to develop the mind and spirit through the gospel of Jesus Christ, education and training. We want to prepare teens for the future, singles for righteous ways of living, and focus on building strong marriages and families. Our goal is to allow the church to transform communities spiritually, economically, and socially as a role model for living. Our church culture will also focus on improving the quality of life for African Americans and any other race of people that want to receive and respect the leadership and administration of an African American pastor, as an American leader for the communities the church serves.

 The Symbol of TBWC:

The Believers Worship Center design is a purposeful reflection of our Vision. The three distinct diamonds with the Believers in the center symbolizes the very essence of our Vision. A diamond in the natural is one of our most precious gems, in its purest form it is transparent and flawless. The three diamonds represent one symbol, yet each is distinct. This signifies the very character of our triune God; three persons representing the Father, Son and Holy Spirit operating as one. God is the most precious person in the life of every believer because of His transparent and flawless nature. As well, the people of God are created to worship Him in spirit and in truth thus, putting the believer in the center of His will.
